Personality is the typical pattern of thinking, feeling and behaviors that make a person unique. Personality is defined as the enduring personal characteristics of individuals. In other words, personality is combination of characteristics or qualities that an individual distinctly possesses. Personality usually means that an individual is much more than his outer appearance.
Definition of Personality:
According to Sigmund Freud: "Personality is an individual's unique pattern of traits." According to Begge & Hund: "Personality refer to the whole behavioural pattern of an individual to the totality of its characteristics."
Personality includes the combination of emotional, attitude and behavior response pattern of the individual. Personality is the aggregate decision made throughout his life and the memory of the experiences which led to these decisions. It usually remains consistent throughout life. When we say that someone has "good personality", we mean that he is likeable, interesting and pleasant to be with.

Personality has four dimensions:
- Physical Dimension: It is related with appearance, shape, size, structure, weight, height skin color etc.
- Mental Dimension: It is related with toughts, ideas, knowledge etc.
- Social Dimension: It is related with social qualities like adjustment, cooperation, togetherness, decipline, leadership etc.
- Emotional Dimension: It is related with behavior, attitude, interest, anger, happy, joyfulness, curosity etc.
Various psychologist has formulated many theories regarding personality. Some theories are based upon dimensions and some theories are based upon traits. The common theories of personalities are 'Sheldon and Jung Personality Classification based on traits; the other theory is' Big Five Theory' based upon dimensions.
